DEVELOPMENT

Integrations of New Blockchains — DEXs and Multi-Chain

  1. Arbitrum Integration

This week, the Rubic Development Team completed Arbitrum integration into the Rubic Multi-Chain Protocol. This integration includes both On-Chain and Multi-Chain swaps. The Rubic Development Team is now finishing the last bit of testing before releasing it to the public next week.

The Arbitrum Network is a Layer 2 solution designed to improve the capabilities of Ethereum smart contracts — boosting their speed and scalability, while also adding additional privacy features. Currently, Arbitrum does $95 Million in daily trading volume with an average of 35,000 transactions per day.

Release Date: January 31st

2. Blockchain Integration Plan

As you all know, Rubic’s goal is to unite all blockchains under our Multi-Chain Protocol. That is why we would like to formally announce that the Rubic team will complete the integration of at least 1 blockchain network every month throughout 2022. These integrations will also include some previously announced blockchains.

3. New EVM Compatible Blockchain

The Rubic Development Team has been working on one more EVM compatible blockchain integration throughout the month of January. We will complete this integration during the first two weeks of February. This integration will be a part of Rubic’s participation in Hackathons and will include the development of both On-Chain and Multi-Chain swaps.

Please stay tuned for additional announcements!

Widgets & SDK

  1. Rubic Relay Widget Updates

Throughout this week, the Rubic Development Team created the ability to add project tokens for Fantom and Moonriver networks directly to the Rubic Relay Widget.

These changes, like always, can be found in the latest version of our Rubic Relay Widget on our Github and in our official documentation.

2. Referral Program

This week, the Rubic Development Team has been working on the frontend portion for the new Referral Program. Last week, we finished the creation of a new smart contract for our referral program. This week, we started testing it.

Beginning next week, we will release the promo-page for our Referral Program. On this page, you will find all details about the Referral Program and its rules.

This week, we are also happy to share with you the latest mock-up of our upcoming Referral Program page’s UI!

3. Simplification of Rubic Relay Widget Integration

Rubic is focused on bringing mass adoption of our Multi-Chain Protocol to the crypto world and one of things which will help to realize this goal is the simplicity in which Rubic can be integrated into different platforms, applications, wallets, and websites.

In order to accomplish this goal, our Development Team has created a “Rubic Relay Widget Integration Form” which will significantly simplify the process of integrating our Rubic Relay Widget. The purpose of this form is to enable developers to enter their preferred parameters, and a customized script will be generated, so they can just copy and paste code to get it up and running.

This form will be released on February 10th and will be located directly on Rubic.exchange

4. The First Completed SDK Development

We are happy to share with our community that the first project has completed the development and integration of the Alpha-version of Rubic’s SDK!
The first project to accomplish this is the Hector DAO. Currently, it’s not live on their platform, but it will be released to their platform with the continued development of the Rubic SDK.

Hector DAO is a reserve currency protocol built on the Fantom blockchain. Hector DAO serves as a replacement to stablecoins by providing investors and users with a backed, but stable currency, that can rise in value while minimizing losses. Hector DAO’s goal is to make it easy, efficient, and fast as possible to manage users assets, lend/borrow, earn interest on staking, bridge between chains, launch new projects, and much more.

In order to congratulate and celebrate the first integration of our SDK, we are planning to hold a special event with the Hector DAO team. More information will be announced in the near future.

Multi-Chain Development

  1. Tomorrow, on Saturday, January 29th, Rubic will turn off the Polygon Bridge. This decision was made based on the popularity of these Cross-Chain solutions and the continued development of Rubic Multi-Chain Protocol. From now on, all of the swaps will be completed through the Rubic bridge on our Multi-Chain Protocol, with the native Polygon bridge being turned off.

All of the users who were completing swaps which required claims still would be able to complete it using Polygon Bridge platform.

In case any of our users experience issues while using this bridge during the time in which it will be turned off, we strongly recommend contacting our Technical Support Team, in order to resolve any of these potential issues.

All of the swaps which were previously completed through the Polygon Bridge still will be available for users thanks to our Multi-Chain Protocol and Smart Routing system. The official Polygon Bridge being turned off will not affect any user experience on our platform. Swaps, both to and from Polygon, will still be fully functional.
