We have successfully integrated WalletConnect into our decentralized exchange platform, and it allows many more users to become a part of Rubic’s ecosystem.
The integration of WalletConnect is a very important feature for Rubic’s growing ecosystem. From now on, users of more than 70 wallets will have direct access to our multichain DeFi platform. This integration will significantly help both new and experienced traders to begin and continue using Rubic.exchange.
At the moment, our WalletConnect functionality is only available on desktops. However, we are working on integrating a mobile version, and we are in contact with WalletConnect in order to accomplish this. We appreciate your patience as we integrate this functionality!
WalletConnect’s many different compatibility options consist of the wallets shown below, with the full list available here.
Now, owners of these wallets can conveniently use Rubic.exchange at their leisure.
As previously mentioned, there will initially be less available wallets for the mobile version of our platform. The available wallets for mobile are: Metamask, TrustWallet, BitPay, Argent, Crypto.com, Ledger, 1inch, Coin98, Huobi, BitKeep and PlasmaPay.
What is WalletConnect?
WalletConnect is an open protocol made to facilitate a secure connection between mobile cryptocurrency wallets and Dapps. Transactions are made through an encrypted connection by scanning a QR code, and are confirmed on the mobile device. As the private key never leaves the user’s device, their funds are never at risk and the possibility of a hijack is very low.
Users will be able to find their WalletConnect-compatible wallets after they click on “Connect Wallet”.
Choose WalletConnect, and simply scan the QR code presented to you with your WalletConnect-enabled mobile wallet to begin using our exchange!

WalletConnect is an open protocol for connecting desktop Dapps to mobile wallets using end-to-end encryption by scanning a QR code. This opens up a whole world of Dapps that were once only available to Metamask.
