The bridge between Binance Smart Chain and Polygon network has officially launched!
Today, we are happy to announce that we have finished integrating the EvoDefi bridge into our platform. This bridge will enable users to transfer their assets easily between the BSC and Polygon networks.
The constant development and growth of two of the most popular blockchain networks in crypto — BSC and Polygon — requires building the connection between them. Rubic continues towards our goal — the development of a one-stop solution to exchange tokens between any two blockchains, in a secure and decentralized way. The BSC-Polygon bridge implementation is an important milestone for our project. Moving forward, users of Ethereum, BSC and Polygon can easily transfer their tokens between these all 3 of these networks, creating a 3-network full-circle ecosystem on the Rubic platform.
How does it work?
On Rubic.Exchange you will be able to swap BEP-20 tokens with their corresponding version in the Polygon network and vice-versa. For example, swapping USDC — BEP-20 with USDC on the Polygon network.
Since these networks are getting more and more attention and usage from the crypto community, many people are using both of these networks in their day-to-day trading. We are happy to give our users an option of transferring tokens between the Binance Smart Chain and Polygon networks.
The Polygon and BSC networks have already executed more than 800 Million transactions from more than 1.5 Million user addresses, with transaction activity increasing day after day. At launch, our bridge will enable users to swap only 3 tokens. However, in the future we will increase the amount of tokens available to swap across these networks.
Our BSC-Polygon bridge has several benefits for users; one of which is that there will be no limit on the amount of trades. This means that users will be able to trade as many tokens as they want, without restrictions. Currently the EVOdefi bridge does have restrictions for the minimum and maximum amount of tokens required to swap. The minimums and maximums are dependent on the token being swapped. Please see below for token swap minimums and maximums:
For ETH: Min — 0.02 Max — 200
For USDC: Min — 50 Max — 100,000
For GenX: Min — 20 Max — 30,000
The swap fee will only be required to pay for gas to facilitate the transaction.
To use the BSC-Polygon bridge, you first need to add both of the networks to your wallet.
Currently, our users have several options on how to add both of these networks to their wallet. The first way to do this is to add it automatically using the auto-change feature. This feature will choose the desired blockchain based on your MetaMask’s chosen network. It helps our users avoid extra steps during the swap process, and simplifies the process of adding new networks.
The second way, is to add them manually using the following steps:
Adding Polygon Network To Your Wallet
1). Open your wallet and click the network button on the top.
2). Select “Custom RPC”.
3). Enter the following settings:
- Network Name: Matic Mainnet
- New RPC URL: https://rpc-mainnet.maticvigil.com/
- Chain ID: 137
- Currency Symbol (optional): MATIC
- Block Explorer URL (optional): https://explorer.matic.network/
Once you’ve added everything, you can click on “Save”.
Adding BSC Network To Your Wallet
To complete it, follow these steps:
1). Open your wallet and click the network button on the top.
2). Select “Custom RPC”.
3). Enter the following settings:
- Network Name: BSC Mainnet
- New RPC URL: https://bsc-dataseed1.binance.org/ or https://bsc-dataseed2.binance.org/
- ChainID: 56, or 0x38 if 56 doesn’t work
- Symbol: BNB
- Block Explorer URL: https://bscscan.com/
Once you’ve added everything, you can click on “Save”.
Once complete, how do you use the BSC <-> Polygon bridge?
Swapping from BSC to Polygon:
Step 1. Connect your MetaMask Wallet (www.metamask.io) or use WalletConnect to connect your wallet to www.rubic.exchange.
Step 2. Choose your exchange destination (from BSC to Polygon, or vice-versa). You can invert your destination by clicking on the button with up and down arrows.
Step 3. Currently, users are able to swap 3 BEP-20 tokens with their corresponding Polygon version, and vice-versa (the list of available tokens will continually be updated). The current list of tokens includes:
ETH <-> WETH
USDC <-> USDC
GENX <-> GENX
Step 4. Enter the number of tokens you want to swap. Currently, there are limits on the number of tokens you can swap. These limits are:
For ETH: Min — 0.02 Max — 200
For USDC: Min — 50 Max — 100,000
For GenX: Min — 20 Max — 30,000
Proceed if you are satisfied with the amount of tokens requesting to be swapped.
Step 5. You can view a token’s contracts by clicking on the ‘Check On Scanner’ button.
Step 6. Click “Swap”, followed by the trade confirmation prompt on MetaMask or the wallet that is compatible through WalletConnect.
Step 7. Please wait until the transaction is recorded on the blockchain. Once your transaction is accepted you will be notified. You can find the transaction details in the ‘My Trades’ table. Please wait until both networks process the transaction.
Please note, in some cases, completing swaps might take more time than usually expected due to network load and use. If you still haven’t received your tokens after a considerable amount of time (2 hours+), please contact our customer support.
