Today we want to announce that we have successfully implemented the beta version of Matic Bridge on Rubic and now it’s live for the users!

The number of users using cross-chain solutions is growing every day. Rubic global goal is to develop a one-stop solution to exchange tokens between any blockchains in a secured and decentralized way. Polygon bridge implementation is an important milestone for our project.

How does it work?

On Rubic.Exchange you will be able to swap ERC20 with their corresponding version in the Polygon network and vice-versa (for example, swap USDT- ERC20 with USDT in the Polygon network). Since Ethereum is facing high gas fees and BSC only starts adding more validators, people are looking for networks that are more attractive for traders. Users will be able to transfer their tokens into the Polygon ecosystem within the Rubic platform. Polygon has already powered more than 7M transactions for more than 300k user addresses, with transaction activity increasing by the day. Currently, our bridge will allow users to swap only PoS tokens.

Our Polygon bridge has several benefits for users. First of all, there is no amount limit for trading, which means that users will be able to trade as many tokens as they want.

The swap fee will be only for paying gas

To use Polygon, you first need to add it to your Metamask wallet.

To complete it, follow these steps:

1). Open the Metamask extension and click the “Ethereum Mainnet” button on the top.

2). Select “Custom RPC”.

3). Enter the following settings:

Network Name: Matic Mainnet

New RPC URL: https://rpc-mainnet.maticvigil.com/

Chain ID: 137

Currency Symbol (optional): MATIC

Block Explorer URL (optional): https://explorer.matic.network/

Once you’ve added everything, you can click on “Save”.

How to complete a cross-chain swap?

Swap from Ethereum to Polygon:

Step 1. Enter the number of tokens that you want to swap and press “Create swap”

Step 2. Accept transaction through your Metamask*

*(skip this step if you want to swap ETH)

Step 3.Your transaction status will be shown in this table

Step 4. After 7–10 minutes your cross-chain swap will be completed and you will be able to trade your tokens in Polygon network.

Swap from Polygon to Ethereum

Step 1. Enter the number of tokens that you want to swap

Step 2. Press “create swap”

Step 3. Wait until the status “Withdraw in progress” will be changed to “Waiting for deposit”. Your transaction status will be shown in the table.

Step 4.Press “Deposit”

Step 5. After a few minutes, your tokens will be swapped to your wallet in the Ethereum network.

In some cases completing swaps might take more time than usual

Here you can watch the video tutorial for that!

Continuation of the partnership between Polygon and Rubic

Rubic and Polygon are continuing to work on creating Rubic.exchange the ideal place for projects and users who want easily use Polygon along with all the other Rubic’s implemented blockchains: Ethereum and Binance Smart Chain, use the bridge tool to join into Polygon’s ecosystem, conduct P2P trades, and instant swaps on the network. Soon after implementing the bridge, we will also integrate QuickSwap which will allow users to complete instant trades directly on Rubic.exchange!

Polygon has already worked with the biggest DeFi protocols and proved that this network brings greater accessibility to Ethereum. The new features will allow Polygon’s users to make even more comfortable trades and swaps under the ONE-STOP platform — Rubic.

Rubic Cross-Chain Solutions

Rubic completes one more step toward developing an interoperability infrastructure between different blockchains within Rubic’s DeFi ecosystem. Polygon bridge is another step taken forward towards the complex integration of cross-chain solutions into Rubic DeFi.

Rubic keeps moving towards simplifying and connecting users from different blockchains, achieving higher market liquidity.

About Polygon (previously Matic)

Polygon is the first well-structured, easy-to-use platform for Ethereum scaling and infrastructure development. Its core component is Polygon SDK, a modular, flexible framework that supports building and connecting Secured Chains like Plasma, Optimistic Rollups, zkRollups, Validium, etc, and Standalone Chains like Matic POS, designed for flexibility and independence. Polygon’s scalability solutions have seen widespread adoption with 200+ Dapps, ~7M txns, and ~200K unique users.

If you’re an Ethereum Developer, you’re already a Polygon developer! Leverage Polygon’s fast and secure txns for your Dapp, get started here.

About Rubic

https://rubic.exchange and https://rubic.finance

Rubic is a multichain DeFi ecosystem, which features cross-chain, P2P, instant swaps, and limit orders across multiple blockchains, aiming to deliver a complete ONE-STOP decentralized platform. Rubic platform is the place where users can complete cross-chain swaps using different solutions and get the best rates from all leading protocols (thanks to a DEX aggregator implementation), as well as P2P swaps within an Order Book where users can make deals on their own terms.

For the moment, Rubic supports trades on Ethereum, Polygon (ex Matic), and Binance Smart Chain networks.
