Last week, we released our newly updated Q4 and 2022 roadmap. In it, we announced that we will integrate 4 new blockchains by the end of 2021. On Friday we announced the integration of the Avalanche network. Today we are happy to share with our community that the next network which will be connected to our ecosystem will be Moonriver!
The Progress of Integration
Rubic has started working on the full integration of the Moonriver network into our platform. The following will detail how this integration will be completed.
To begin, we will integrate different DEXs (AMMs) and the RBC bridge for this network. This integration will enable users to complete instant swaps on the Moonriver network and choose the best rate for the tokens that they would like to swap. The integration of a bridge will help users to complete swaps to the Moonriver network from different networks directly on Rubic.exchange.
Lastly, we will connect the Moonriver network to our Cross-Chain Routing system. Currently, the Rubic team is choosing the DEX (AMM) that will be used for Cross-Chain Routing swaps.
What is Moonriver?
Moonriver is a smart-contract blockchain on Kusama that strives to provide compatibility with the existing Ethereum developer toolchain and network. It is intended to be a companion network to Moonbeam, where it will provide a permanently incentivized canary network. New code will ship to Moonriver first, where it can be tested and verified under real economic conditions. Once proven, the same code will ship to Moonbeam on Polkadot.
It does this by providing a full EVM implementation, a Web3-compatible API, and bridges that connect Moonriver to existing Ethereum networks.
This allows developers to deploy existing Solidity smart contracts and DApp frontends to Moonriver with minimal changes.
